Transactional Analysis (TAO)
A new venture offered by Coaching Changes Ltd and the Scottish Centre for Developmental Transactional Analysis: http://www.transactionalanalysisinorganisations.co.uk/
This programme will be launched in LONDON in August 2010. It teaches participants to use Transactional Analysis (TA) as the psychological approach for developing people and organizations and for delivering sustained change. The programme offers participants an opportunity to learn new ways of thinking and consulting, whether as an internal or an external expert. The programme is designed to develop participants’ consulting ability / practice through a combination of practical enquiry and capability development, theoretical rigour and active experimentation. This experiential approach builds on existing skills, invites self-reflection and integrates new learning from the start.
The programme takes the perspective of organizations as self-organising complex human systems. Participants are encouraged to observe closely the phenomena of individual and group interactions in organizational life and make sense of them in a way that is appropriate and contextual. It also teaches a number of tried and tested ways of understanding and working with individuals.
The modules focus on important organizational themes in order to explore and integrate a range of TA concepts and professional practice models. Each module will address a specific topic area and the structure will provide ample opportunity for participants to apply TA according to their own contexts and priorities. Insights gained enable participants to develop relevant and potent interventions that enhance the individuals’ and the organisations’ capacity to respond to uncertainty and change.
The programme is aimed at consulting practitioners likely to be working in an organizational intervention or a people development role, such as OD Managers / Consultants, HR Managers, Facilitators, L & D Managers, Coaches, Trainers or independent consultants alike.
The programme comes under the professional direction of Sandra Wilson PTSTA(O) and Colin Brett TSTA(O). Sandra is an experienced Organisation Development Consultant, Colin focuses on developing people in the workplace. Both are senior members of the TA community, and both are internationally accredited to teach and supervise. Sandra and Colin are also qualified Coaches, Coach Trainers and Supervisors. They expect to be joined by other guest trainers.
